True - I love cooking. Crock pots are always a good investment. If you can wait, you can always start by baking some veggies and then make something protein-y to go with it in a jiff!

True, I wouldn't starve, but I wouldn't eat well if I had to depend on myself right now. My brother, on the other hand, was a great cook. Really admired that.
