Today I saw history in the making. I witnessed the election of the new head of the Catholic church..

At 18:00GMT (approx.) white smoke appeared and the bell rang. National TV switched to the view in Rome and we waited patiently for the arrival of the new pope.

His name.......

Joseph Ratzinger now known as Pope Benedict XVI

The first election that i have seen. It was a moving moment I may not be a catholic but i enjoyed the moment.
