When you see a gender of the opposite sex and like them, how long does it take for you to decide whether you would wanna have a good time with them?
For me? 5 seconds minimum.

There has to be a connection, between us...and if it is sexual...it happens right away..never timed it...

There is an initial reaction of "no" or "maybe". Followed by a careful look into the eyes and a careful listening of the voice. On 2 occasions, I have been fooled by my instant reaction. So, I take a step back to see what makes me react, pro or con, and analyze it.

Erm......honestly? For me I have to know someone for at least a few weeks before I know whether I'd want to have sex/ fool around with them.
I really don't do instant attraction, because the things I'm attracted to in a person don't appear until you've got to know someone.

Well for me the sexual attraction is either right there instantly or it isn't. But I really need to talk to someone for a time to see how deep they can get into a conversation or if there is just nothing going on up there.

Usually when I first talk to them. I've seen a lot of handsome and pretty that blew it as soon as they opened their mouths. I have serious geek lust--you have to have the brains to turn me on. And wittiness. I have to feel your spark to light my fire.

Do I get the impression that you find that hard to believe? I know it sounds like a bit of a corny and cliched answer, but it really is the truth for me.
To clarify, there are people I meet, whom I think 'You have the potential to be attractive to me' after an hour or so of knowing them, but it still takes a few weeks to be attracted enough to decide I really do want sexual contact with someone.
Prolly explains why I have only ever passionately kissed 10 people in my life, and each of those I've known for at least a month beforehand.
Perhaps I have trust issues, perhaps I'm emotionally scarred by life, perhaps it's just that my highly tuned bastard detector takes a while to give me an accurate reading, but I need that period of time to decide whether I want someone.

Define "good time" - a flirty glance, a satisfying conversation or even a suprise tough, or a few hours in a strange bed....
And sometimes there are same sex people that capture the eye, too....
I guess it's a visual thing initially - say 2.3 seconds, but I have heard some voices and smelled some scents that took eveln less to divert my attention....
