I think with the interest rates being at an all time low for the ages, developers are taking full advantage! We don't have a store close by (withing a 10 mile radius) to by a freakin pair of underwear! Most chain stores have gone elsewhere or closed for good. But farmers are selling off land like it's going out of style, and developers are building low income "condo's" and townhouses, and on the opposite end of the scale...$500.000.00 homes, on them to accomadate an unimaginable amount of families around here!
Luckily I live in an area where the land was sold in smaller acreages and the families aren't farmers with 100's-1000's of acres to subdivide! We have a lot of "green space" around our immediate vicinity, that can NEVER be sold and developed! But, where I used to live (another town not too too far away) you can't swing a dead cat without hitting construction equiptment!
