Speaking of crashes, at the softball game tonight the runner was going into second but didn't slide. The second baseman went to make the double play, and just as he released the ball he realized the runner wasn't ducking. You'd have thought there was a massive head injury. Fortunately (?) he took the ball hard in the crook of his neck.
