A friend of mine used to threaten to wrap his daughter in burlap until she turned 18.

Well, when that happened, or close to when that happened, his wife & his daughter entered said daughter in a costume contest as a s/f con, as "Princess Burlap."

Yep, predictably enough, the wife had helped the daughter to make this really slinky dress from burlap.
