explosions rock London this morning
Hoping all our Pixies' friends there are ok....
nothing official in terms of what happened yet (rumours of malfunctions though they are not ruling out terrorism either.....) read it here |
sending thoughts of peace and healing calm to everyone within harms way.

|
I'm hoping Lizzardbits checks in soon......I'm not sure where Mayhem drives his bus!!!
|
First they get the joy of hosting the Olympics and then this shit happens. My heartfelt condolences to any who lost or had someone injured. Terrorists are the cowards of the world. Senseless.
|
My first post at Pixies and it's about this :(
Was supposed to be on the tube at Moorgate at the time of the blasts, fortunately a late night (largely the result of finding this place again) meant I was running an hour late this morning. Hope everyone is OK - have heard from colleagues that it's chaos there at the moment. |
These damned bombers must be stopped!!!
My heart goes out to those exposed either physically or emotionally. Lazarus Long Oklahoma City |
I hope all our English Pixies are safe from this senseless act of cowardice.
Please check in so we know you're safe!!! :x: |
Guess this is where us England-based Pixies are checking in. All's well in my corner of the country, but my heart goes out to those in London. It's been such an amazing week...and now this. Words fail me.
The news I'm getting seems to say that the emergency crews are doing an amazing job, that everyone is being as calm and helpful (staying off the streets etc.) as possible, and that while things are far from good...they could have been much much worse. Gotta get back to work....but my best to all those closer to the chaos. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help! G |
Praying for all our UK friends! And those visiting!
Hope we hear from all of you very soon!! my love to you all, teddy |
Just occurred to me....the bus in question was an open topped tourist bus, not one of the city buses. So long as Mayhem drives a city route he should be ok, does anyone know?
|
God bless all our friends in London and in the UK. What terrible cowards these terrorists are. They're afraid to fight in the open and so they do things like this.
Our love and prayers to all affected directly or who have friends and loved ones in London. |

I remember asking about his route. He DIDN’T drive in London. :jump: ( Send our Lizz home NOW!! Your vacation is over. :( ) |
Always such senseless tragedies in this world of ours......
My thoughts and prayers go out to all. |

I was watching,John Gibsons, show yesterday & he even said that the best thing about NY,not hosting, the Olympics, was that it would make NY a target again.I guess that he was right! The news said that Londoners, didn't panic, because they were used to IRA bombings, only the IRA targeted financial areas & this targeted people. Irish :yikes: |
This is part my “Proximity Phenomena” that I’ve mentioned before.:rolleyes2
Why do we NEED to hear from ‘our’ people that are close to any calamity like this, even when we are reasonable confident they are all right? I want to hear from Fussy & Lue, ………. And all our other Pixies anywhere in England. GET YOUR ASSES OVER TO OUR ‘Pixies Civil Defense’ THREAD AND REGISTER! Outside of the USA, we only have 3 members in Oz and 2 in all of Canada on our maps. How the fuck can I worry about you when I’m not sure where you are? ;) |
They should be ok...they are not in London.
|
sensless cowards :( when will they learn that their scare tactics don't stop us...they make us more determined than ever.
((((hugs))) for london, for england...for all that is good in this world. |
Mayhem is not in London either and drives a city bus..........I just got a bit worried!! Still waiting for them to check in thou.
|

It was a big shock when I started reading about it this morning. Thanks for your concern PF, luckily as Lil said Lou n I aren't in London. We're close enough for a our local government emergency planning team to be on a higher state of alert, I've been helping them with some computer issues today.
I guess with G8 and the Olympic thing the UK and especially London has become a focus for the world's media and where there's plenty of media attention there's going to be terrorists/cowards. The last report I saw said 33 confirmed dead from the blasts on the underground and no numbers have been given yet for those killed in the bus bombing. An unknown al-Qaeda linked group have claimed responsibility for the attack From bbc news website:- The organisation calls itself the Secret Organisation Group of al-Qaeda [literally the base] of Jihad Organisation in Europe. The group is previously unknown. The website has previously carried statements purporting to be from al-Qaeda. It is not possible to verify such claims published on the web. This is the full text of the statement. "In the name of God, the merciful, the compassionate, may peace be upon the cheerful one and undaunted fighter, Prophet Muhammad, God's peace be upon him. Nation of Islam and Arab nation: Rejoice for it is time to take revenge against the British Zionist Crusader government in retaliation for the massacres Britain is committing in Iraq and Afghanistan. The heroic mujahideen have carried out a blessed raid in London. Britain is now burning with fear, terror and panic in its northern, southern, eastern, and western quarters. We have repeatedly warned the British Government and people. We have fulfilled our promise and carried out our blessed military raid in Britain after our mujahideen exerted strenuous efforts over a long period of time to ensure the success of the raid. We continue to warn the governments of Denmark and Italy and all the Crusader governments that they will be punished in the same way if they do not withdraw their troops from Iraq and Afghanistan. He who warns is excused. God says: "You who believe: If ye will aid (the cause of) Allah, He will aid you, and plant your feet firmly." |
Oh My! All in the name of God, eh? *deep, heavy sigh*
My thoughts are with all those in harms way! TY for the update Fussy! |

I have a bonus for him.:D I will do my best to FIRMLY plant my boot on his friggen throat! |
PF---I was thinking of a different place,to plant my boot. All in the name of
GOD of course! Irish  |
I saw this on the news this morning and it made me feel sad and angry all at once.
My thoughts and prayers go to all those affected. |

GOD hell! It's 'in the name of gods' that got us here. I want to do it because they're barbaric sniveling slime that can't be allowed to screw with innocent people. |
MY thoughts to all affected by this...
|
Ok ok we are here honest.,..... you can all stop worrying now we were out playing tourist in stratfoird today, thank god.
The first we heard of it was in the pub at lunch, There was a heavy police presence in Birmingham today apparantly with buses being searched everytime they arrived in the city centre. Im on the early shift from tommorrow for a week so chances are ill have a couple of coppers on my bus. Lizz will check in later but she is sitting right here with me. on behalf of the rest of the world id just like to say that the people that did this are total scum. |
It's about time!! :)
:grope: |
I'm glad to see people checking in. Thank goodness you're safe, and my hopes & prayers are with those who were there.
|
we were out playing in Straford-upon-Avon, good ole Willie Shakespeare's home town when we heard about the bombings. We are ok, shocked and abhorred at what happened, but ok. Mayhem and i are both at his Flat now and watching the news. luv ya all
33 dead at the last i heard.....that is the number of people thus far on our list to invite to our wedding.....it really brings it home for me. 33 innocents.. i am thinking of tying Mayhem to the bed and not letting him go to work in the morning. (of course i'd make staying home worthwhile, :P ) Oh, Mother Hen, aka Father Cock, aka PF, i will be coming back to the US soon enough, but not right now, I NEED to be with Mayhem every single second that i can be with him. I will keep checking in and i may be in chat sometime this week. |
(((((hugs and prayers))))))
|
Makes the world a smaller place... :( My thoughts and prayers are with all.
|
it's about time mayhem an lizz checked in thankful you two are ok an my heart goes out to those familys that are affected. the dirty bastards that did this really are scum we must come up with a better way to express our anger than what they did. my heart is sad for humanity in general that violence is what we resort to. well that's my two cents peace to all ,schelagh
|
I have been worried about our British Pixies since I heard the news this morning. I am so sorry you had to go through this tragedy; God played no part it in.

And to all you people who have been bashing the U.S. for staying in Iraq...... Do you know how bad I'm biting my tongue right now???????????? :rolleyes2 These people don't give a shit what country you are from...... |
My sympathies and heartfelt condolences go out to those who have been affected by the bombings in London; and to their dear friends and families. Those who are responsible will not rejoice so loudly when they are in front of "Allah". They will get an incredibly rude awakening as they are making their rapid descent. :devilish: I have a dear friend that lives just outside of London. She doesn't go in very often, but her husband and son do. I emailed them this morning, as it is impossible to get through via phone. I'm hopeful she'll have time to get back to me by tomorrow. She's a really sweet person.
