It's now 12:25AM and it looks from the weather maps like the rains are nearing the SE corner of Iowa (NE corner of Missouri). Means it's just under 140 miles southwest of us.

59F with mostly clear skies now (12:30AM) rising to 70F with mostly cloudy skies later. Chance of rain rises this morning from 10 to about 30-40% by 6AM and continues until about 3PM. Hope not, but, I guess we could use a little rain (although I'd rather have it wait and do so at night when we're sleeping or at least indoors. :shrug:

Unsettled weather continues around here: right now, heavy overcast, temperature 75F/23.9C, with a forecast high of 88F/31C. Only a 20% chance of rain overall during daylight, but 80% chance of rain overnight, and tomorrow's forecast high of only 67F/19.4C.

75F with partly cloudy skies (1:30AM). Actually, we just had a short but somewhat heavy rain shower pass through within the last 1/2 hour. Today, rain is predicted with the high around 82F (that'll feel good after the 90s we've been having. Of course, it'll mean mowing again. :(

We've had nearly 2 weeks of really hot (for Scotland!) weather, reaching as high as 26-27C at times (about 80F I think).

That's due to break any time now, with thunder'n'lightning and all that good stuff. Feels pretty muggy this morning, so I don't think it's far away now .. .. ..

Had some terribly hard rains yesterday morning. Streets and parking lots were filled with water. Gutters overflowed. A number of folks told us their rain gauges had about 4" of rain all within a relatively short amount of time. It was a bit cooler, to be sure, but today will head back up. 71F now (1:30AM) going up to 91F with sunny skies. Going to try and get my lawn mowed this morning while the temps are still reasonable.

Actually with the breeze yesterday, it may have been one of the nicest days of the season! Not too hot … almost chilly in the morning. Right now (1:30AM) it's 69F with mostly clear skies going up to 77F with sunny skies today. Just might be another nice day. :wish:

Another rainy day here, with the temperatur all over the place. Yesterday's high was 82.1F/27.8C; today's is supposed to be 77F/25C; tomorrow only 70F/21.1C. But it's all wet.
