It's cold (near 20F) but at least the rain, sleet, snow and ice are gone for a while.

Here's a picture of our home taken yesterday after our snow had ended.

IowaMan 12-19-2007 12:23 PM

Hmmm, I'm thinking that tree looks like it would be a really nice piece of wood for another P.I.P. totem pole project. :D

Really foggy here today. It's 35F here in my little metropolis at the moment.

IowaMan 12-19-2007 06:06 PM

Hard to believe but they just said on our local news that there is a Stagnant Air Advisory in effect for this area. I guess it's because the fog is still pretty thick or something.

Nope Boog, I didn't have beans for lunch.

Don't you just hate it when politicians campaign!!

dicksbro 12-19-2007 08:06 PM

28F and hazy which is pretty close to the expected low. Tomorroow it should get up to 40F with afternoon showers possible.

dicksbro 12-21-2007 07:06 AM

37F and foggy. Suppose to get up to 42F today and 48F tomorrow. Well ... there goes our white Christmas. :( Of course, as soon as it melts the snow ... it's suppose to drop back down to the 20's and 30's.

Scarecrow 12-21-2007 08:06 PM

Todays high was 45f and suppose to be 52f tomorrow. Saturday night falling temps with 1-3 inch of snow by Sunday morning and a high of 29 on Sunday. If you do not like todays weather just wait a couple of days and it will change

That's Illinois for ya! :)

jay-t 12-21-2007 08:33 PM

Todays hi was 67 tomorrow 32 with 30mph north winds and 1-2 inches of snow

IowaMan 12-21-2007 11:01 PM

The fog still hasn't left, it's been three days. :(

Supposedly we will get a break from it tomorrow though, and then the snow will come in. :banghead: Not exactly sure how much to expect since they are forecasting between two and eight inches. Gotta keep their options open I guess. At least we've had a lot of melting over the past couple of days.

dicksbro 12-22-2007 03:19 AM

45F right now and expected to drop to 42F before dawn. Foggy with temperatures rising to 49F and then falling to 21F with a chance of maybe 1" of snow tonight. Temperatures will stay in the 20s or low 30s through Christmas.

IowaMan 12-22-2007 11:18 AM

It's incredibly foggy (still) and 43F here right now. We've got a Winter Storm Warning in effect from this afternoon through noon tomorrow. Not exactly sure how much snow to expect at this time. My town is right on the line for getting 6"-8" or 2"-4", I guess it depends how excited Mother Nature can get Jack Frost.

Cheyanne 12-22-2007 09:34 PM

After the incredibly thick fog that you couldn't see 1 full car length in front of you, we had storm warnings and blowing snow warnings. Weatherman said something about thunder snow.... we didn't get but a dusting but the wind is gusting at 35 mph and it is 18 degrees out. brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

IowaMan 12-22-2007 09:38 PM

I think the weathermen were a bit off in this part of the state too. Supposedly we were going to go from fog to rain and directly to heavy snow. Two out of three ain't bad I suppose. The radar shows that I'm in the middle of a bunch of snow right now but I haven't seen a flake as of yet, just a lot of ice falling. :(

osuche 12-22-2007 09:53 PM

Got up to 55F and sunny today - it was nice :D

This is gonna hurt me more than it hurts you. :spank:

:D

Hey, there's going to be a white Christmas back here if you get bored with your 55F and sunny. :p

Scarecrow 12-22-2007 10:19 PM

Hi today was 54f with rain and more fog. It is still 50f right now with falling temps later tonight and snow. IowaMan would you please keep the bad weather over there and not spread it around.

dicksbro 12-23-2007 05:12 AM

Yesterday it got up to 53F. Right now, it's 16F with light snow. It's no wonder there are so many colds going around. :(

Unfortunately, I don't think we got enough snow to last until Christmas ... but we'll see.

IowaMan 12-23-2007 07:45 AM

Not enough snow to last through Christmas huh DB? Boy, have I got a present for you!

I guess the best way to describe the weather here is sufficiently brutal. It's 6F for a temp and the winds are howling at about 25mph, they are saying the wind chill factor is -18F. I'm not exactly sure how much snow we got, not a whole lot probably around 4 inches but there's a drift about a foot deep in front of my front door. :(

jseal 12-23-2007 08:50 AM

Very foggy here this mornig.

sodaklostsoul 12-23-2007 06:27 PM

It was 53 when I went to work at 7am. Within an hour the temp had dropped massively and then it tried to snow but the wind blew and is blowing so much that the snow is not sticking really. On my way home at 4:20 I saw a business clock temp that said it was 15. Weather Bug says it is 19 right now and wind gusts of 46.

Be nice if someone turned the fan off!!!

dicksbro 12-24-2007 05:15 AM

25F and cloudy right now. Only expected to reach 29F today with snow flurries likely. Got a dusting yesterday and so maybe ... just maybe ... we'll have a slightly white Christmas (which is suppose to get into the 40s and so it won't last too long).

IowaMan 12-24-2007 12:47 PM

A beautiful winter morning here today, finally. It's 26F and sunny and the winds finally died down. :loveshowe

Well, ok I guess it's partly cloudy.

jay-t 12-24-2007 01:40 PM

55 and sunny here today with no wind ,tomorrow 50 with no chance of a white Christmas

dicksbro 12-26-2007 04:34 AM

31F and partly cloudy. Expected to reach 44F today finishing off what little is left of our white dusting for Christmas.

IowaMan 12-27-2007 12:10 PM

31F and cloudy right now. Looks like we've got more snow headed our way for the overnight. Not exactly sure how much to expect, they're saying the heavier stuff may stay a bit south of where I'm at so DB, you may end up with a bit of a white New Year's.

dicksbro 12-27-2007 03:31 PM

29F under cloudy skies right now. That's almost the low expected for tonight (28F). They're expecting 1-2" of snow through tomrrow morning, but it should rise to about 35F and so the snow won't last.

Since Christmas is over now, I'd say it can now turn 70F with warm sunshine. :)

IowaMan 12-28-2007 07:09 AM

I wish it was going to be 70F and sunny today.

But......... 26F with light snow at the moment and it looks as though we're going to get another 2 to 4 inches of the stuff today.

dicksbro 01-01-2008 08:00 AM

Currently 18F with light snow (although the wind chill is only 6F). It's going to be warming up, though ...

... to 19F. :(

IowaMan 01-01-2008 09:07 AM

How about that, the new year is starting off pretty much the same way over here DB.

Right now it's 12F and really windy (-13F wind chill). I'm not sure if it's still snowing or just blowing around though. We should be warming up to our high of 13F any minute now.

dicksbro 01-01-2008 10:48 AM

Of course, IowaMan, with you probably are 30 or 50 miles closer to the Artic Circle than me ... that probably accounts for the small temperature disparity.

:D

Scarecrow 01-01-2008 12:31 PM

It got up to 21F here and has now dropped back to 20F. So I quess that the warming trend is over. :cabbagep:

sodaklostsoul 01-01-2008 09:43 PM

Was 37 when I went to work and its 27 now. Snow snow snow!!!!!!!!! Big fluffy white stuff. Streets are a bit slick in spots.

PantyFanatic 01-01-2008 11:23 PM

I have about 6" (15cm) right now [that was on it's way and BELONGS in the Maritimes] and should double by morning with the all-night snow. Temps are in the teens now but will feel 7F (-15C) with wind chill tomorrow. Just too bad it is a week late. :(

dicksbro 01-02-2008 04:30 AM

2F under fair skies. Wind chill makes it feel like -13F. Oh well, it'll soar up to a balmy 16F later today.

BIBI 01-02-2008 07:40 AM

It's freaking cold......
