Took a couple of long naps today (Wed) catching up from a long (good) day Tuesday. Fairly awake right now, but will probably lay down fairly soon.

Some dipshit decided to run into a pedestrian bridge last night in DC:

Dentist today. And my teeth said I never bought them anything. :(

gekkogecko 06-29-2021 06:18 AM

Worried about what the horrible heat wave in the northwest is going to do to people out there.

Heartbreaking and anger-making

TW: deaths of children

The finds of mass unmarked graves at Canada's "residential schools" for indigenous peoples continues: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/canada...ves-2021-06-30/

So, now I'm waiting for the shit to hit the fan here in the US, as we had similar "schools."

And in the weird news

Florida bird. It's always Florida bird:

TLDR:
And exit from I-95 in Daytona Beach, Florida, had to be closed for 3 hours when about 100 homing pigeons fell off a truck, and refused to go home.

Porn channel shutting down

https://dailycaller.com/2021/07/06/...lwait-mindgeek/

TLDR:
The channel xtube.com, owned by MindGeek, is shutting down as of September. There's little to no explanation as to why; speculation (that is, people jumping to conclusions) are that it is due to the amount of lawsuits the channel has recently been subject to.

Hope you're having (or had) a fantastic day DB!

dicksbro 07-19-2021 01:19 AM

I did and thank you, DM and GG. My wife and I had a great day just being together; going to church; have a great lunch at a local restaurant; chatting with friends who offered very kind words.

It was a special day and made more so by the two of you!

Maybe she was just headed to the Vicky's Secret:

dicksbro 07-20-2021 11:48 PM

If they'd let her continue, she probably would have had the whole place to herself.

gekkogecko 07-21-2021 06:07 AM

A tragedy happened with the Jeff Bezos space launch yesterday. He came back safely.

In better news, so did Wally Funk.

PantyFanatic 08-30-2021 01:26 AM

:banghead: What has been going on from most directions is too depressing to talk about.

dicksbro 08-30-2021 01:55 AM

You got that right, PF! Only good thing is seeing your post. We've missed you!

Sunday I got the 'first headache' I've had in maybe more than a year. Kept getting worse so yesterday went to prompt care and found out I had shingles ( :yikes: ), Anyway, the said I caught it at a very early stage and the prescribed medicine and said that should take care of it within a couple/three weeks. Got an appointment for Friday with my regular doctor which they recommended. Keep me in your thoughts.

gekkogecko 09-01-2021 06:04 AM

Urph. That's no fun at all. ad shingles! Go to yoru room!

May he rest in peace.

PantyFanatic 09-06-2021 02:14 AM

I was hoping to hear better news than that. :tear:

dicksbro 09-06-2021 04:36 AM

Me too!

Herre's some better news: An orphaned manatee calf has been rescued, and is being cared for by Zoo Tampa at Lowry Park: https://www.upi.com/Odd_News/2021/0.../9611630692451/

dicksbro 09-06-2021 11:20 PM

If you get a chance, you might want to watch William Shatner (Capt Kirk of the Starship Enterprise) ride in to space as the oldest man (90) to ever go into space. It's on YouTube. He flew on the 2nd flight (other then test flights) of Blue Origin's new rocket. He was very awed and emotional and grateful for the chance.

gekkogecko 10-14-2021 06:09 AM

He was indeed, although I am still leery of Bezos waving around his giant space penis.

dicksbro 10-17-2021 12:48 AM

Gotta admit, though, that he's taking risk with someone on board as high profile as Shatner.

gekkogecko 10-17-2021 10:15 AM

What was the line from Toy Story? "Rockets explode!" just sayin'

PantyFanatic 10-21-2021 10:42 AM

I wonder how much the Star Track Corp (rerun division) contributed to the cost and what they did to get Shatner to go along with it. :roflmao:

dicksbro 10-21-2021 11:13 PM

Hey, PF, how's it going?

You ask a couple of pretty good questions.

gekkogecko 10-22-2021 10:17 AM

In other news, for some reason, the new movie about the book series "Dune" (of which the movie appears to be only the first half of the first book) seems to be getting overall good ratings.

dicksbro 10-24-2021 12:52 AM

My son mentioned that and told me it would be a two-film release.

The first Dune was a very good movie. Saw it a couple of times.

gekkogecko 10-24-2021 10:54 AM

Personally, I never thought much of the story. But that's just this lizard's opinion.

gekkogecko 10-26-2021 06:17 AM

After T J Oshie scored a hat trick for the Caps in the Washington Capitals-Ottawa Senators game last night, one fan tossed her bra onto the ice.

PantyFanatic 10-28-2021 02:41 AM

With all the prostitutes in Washington, I'm not surprised at all.

PantyFanatic 10-28-2021 02:42 AM

Sorry about that. :o Real prostitutes are hard working people, unlike most of the people in the offices there.

gekkogecko 10-28-2021 06:17 AM

Seems to me, there are certain members of the US Congress who are determined to not only fuck us, but make us pay for it.

Is that what a prostitute does?
