My wife and I just saw this movie and thought it deserved all the accolades it's received. It's a long movie, but the time goes fast. Lots of action and great special effects.

More special effects than storyline, but a great 3 hours.

Very true, OF. Story line is not very strong, but the visual effects are stunning. We saw it n 3-D and that enhanced the effects.

My guys liked it. I am dying to see the Meryl Streep movie.

I hope no one takes the comment about a weak story line as a reason not to see the show. It's a wonderful show! We loved it and when it comes out on DVD, it'll be on our shelf.

I must be in the minority, because I thought it was actually kinda boring. The special effects were good, the action was decent, and it was VERY colorful, but the story was crap. I guessed the ending five minutes into the movie, and nearly three hours later, turned out I was right.

Anyone else going to pick up a copy of Avatar when it comes out this morning on DVD or Blue Ray?
I'm thinking about picking up the Blu Ray. It was really enjoyable at the theater.

Until I get a blu-ray, my purchases are basic.
It's rumoured that Avatar II will be set underwater.
