Unless he has a crash or some other major mishap, Lance Armstrong will win his seventh Tour de France in Paris today.

Going out on a high note! Truly one of cycling’s greats.

Considering he made this year's Tour look like a lesiurely tour of France rather than a race, he should be considered one of the best Athlete's ever....

It's amazing to be able to win the Tour once. Seven times in a row is beyond description. His is truly a spectacular tale of triumph. Way to go Lance!

I think he is awesome! He has overcome so much and worked tirelessly....it is a shame that some feel the need to question his abilities and infer that he has taken/takes drugs to increase his performance.

Congrats Lance! (maybe he is a luker - lol) :D

Hmmm...I just heard he was a shite husband. His ex paints a nasty picture of living in his shadow.

Lilith,

Well, I guess she's better of now than she was then.

Don't know if that's true or not, but I don't know of many exes that paint a lovely picture of their former spouse.

You make a very good point and I can see where it may be difficult to live with someone who is a hero to the world.

I can imagine that can be pretty difficult as well. From my own small experience I can tell you there is a certain amount of friction when your spouse wants you exclusively but you don't want to disappoint fans.

I thought I heard something in passing recently about lance having an enlarged heart - making him one in a billion - and that somehow this has given him a tiny bit of an advantage making his body more efficient.... I can't say that I would suggest it's a large factor in his success, but interesting nonetheless because I always think of an enlarged heart being rather dangerous.
