I saw the weirdest thing.....

So I'm rolling down I-80 East this am and I glance over to the left and there is a whole bag of wheat bread on the side of the road. Trash is common, but just a loaf of bread!!


So tell me...what strange or weird things have you seen on the side of the road.

Last year coming back from the in-laws farm, on I-65 just as we enter town, I began noticing shredded tire debris all over the road...even had to take evasive action to avoid hitting some larger pieces (I once hit a large piece of a truck tire at night, ripping the air dam halfway off my minivan)...anyway, as we rode along, the debris kept increasing in size & quantity, till we finally saw the source...A Porche abandoned on the shoulder, the whole rear axle appeared to be missing...somehow, I've always felt I missed a really great story on how that ended up there...

It is common in downtown Madison to see pairs of shoes tied together and thrown up over the power lines.

I think I have also seen the remainders of a deflated (likely punctured) blow-up doll sticking out of a trashcan along the side of a road.

We have the shoes here too. A life size cardboard stand up of mini-me poking out of a dumpster in a darkend area that scared the holy living fuck out of me as my headlights hit it.

Just a note: In hunting for the shoes thing I came across a white supremicist/nationalist website. I'm so damn naive, I've never seen anything like that online before. I guess I've never looked.

The strangest thing I have seen lately, apart from a lady flagging down a cab at 3AM

with her dress (it was not a pretty sight), is a white rabbit which is someone's pet

on my street. When I'm going to work or coming home at 2 or 3AM, this little bugger's

sitting on the footpath or in the gutter like he's the king of the world.

It wasn't till I fluked a pic of him that my family would believe it.

Conventional wisdom had it that the local dogs would have killed it long ago.

Someone tied a dildo to the side of the bridge on the way to my house. It wasn't me.

ok, do you want things Ive seen while driving or while walking along side the road...hrmm, where to start?
oh, I know where to start.. when I went to visit Ienki, we went to visit Akasha, when Ienki an i left, there was a cordless drill in an intersection... HAD to go back, and yup, it still worked, its in my closet now.
that was in town though, ok, for things along the road out of town....
I've seen every peice of clothing imaginable,
have found 4 or 5 dollar bills over the years and even a 10 once,
unopend pack of smokes (Camels even and I had run out)
MANY lighters,
a barbie (still in the box, but the box was pretty bad off from rain and elements),
a couch,

damn, I know theres many more but my memory is failing me(as usual,lol)
if i think of more, i may edit this

a messy dildo in a ziploc bag... (while searching for remnants of bro's Gf's purse which was stolen and the state police found her id and part of it on that stretch of the road) ((no the dildo was confirmed not to be hers)) (((this was only a week ago))) ((((no we didn't keep it =P))))

one of my hats... which had blown off my head while riding in a convertible.. Strangely enough it was found 2 roads over from the one it blew off on... a week later.. Weird.. could only tell it was mine cause of the way the inside was... it had Indepent skateboard emblems on it.. and i shredded the insides of them.. it was itchy with them..

walking 100$ bill found in a gutter once going to a restuarant.. hehe sure enough the dinner was on me =)

thats about all i can think of atm..



p.s... once found a rear axle to a porsche.. down I-65... always thought it was a strange story and wondered where the rest of the car was.... lol jk..
