Everyone has their own opinion of what is and is not. We are at an extremely divisive point in our country's history and IMHO I don't think discussing it in a sex forum is gonna help people feel better about it.

I don't appreciate or agree with the sentiment. I don't endorse the public trashing of the leader of our country, regardless of who's in office. And I don't think it's an appropriate way to show one's political views.

But that having been said...the fact that we're having this conversation is VERY American.

I apologize if anyone here thought that I posted this to annoy or provoke people of any belief. I promise you that was not my intention. I value all my pixies friends and have no desire to hurt or antagonize anyone. I admire the incredibly passionate, intelligent, and articulate responses the pixies have to every topic under the sun and thought this post and the even more bizarre "Pornographers for Kerry" website would have people here putting in their two cents (or more's) worth.

I have discussed politics in IM chat with many of my pixies buddies from both sides of the aisle and have found the people here to be gracious, accepting, and open-minded. It was a mistake for me to post this in an open forum to be read by people who have not agreed to talk with me about the election though, and for that error of judgement I apologize.

And Lilith, if you or any of the other mods would care to remove this thread because of the hurtful effect it may have caused to some of my friends here, I would completely understand.

Love and peace to all,
Rick

Many of us are passionate people, about sex, life, politics, you name it. The problem always comes in when people stop discussing their own opinions and start making judgements on the opinions of others. I love to talk politics, I honestly do, but repeatedly it has not been do-able here, so I save my political discussions for places where it seems to fit in better with their site's natural flow.

I don't agree with putting political commentary on the tag like that, hidden from the customer's initial view. I wouldn't like to buy something that appeared fairly benign at first glance and then find out that someone was using it as a vehicle for their political views. Not that many people would see it, mind you, I just find it a distasteful way of doing things.

First off, this is true, snopes has confirmed it.
http://www.snopes.com/business/hidden/tombihn.asp

Secondly, I think it's hillarious. I don't mind hiding political easter eggs all over the place, and it doesn't bother me at all for anyone to criticize our government. (and that goes for when the Democrats were in charge as well)
This is simply a joke. And if you don't appreciate it, that's fine, don't laugh. Rip out the tags. Make up your own joke going the other way. But don't tell me that you can't make the joke.
"A patriot must always be ready to defend his country against his government." - Edward Abbey

Anyway, sorry for throwing gas on the fire. I just like to have an open discussion, with no names being called or insults sent.

Probably so, I mean theres nothing political about it! Then agian it is the off topic section of the forum and other topics that usually arent associated with sex are discussed withought any problem.
