So few posters. I guess a lot of people just look at the pics as you have to be a member to view them? When you signed up did you post right away or lurk/read for a time???

When I first signed up, I lurked for awhile before posting. I was intimidated and very nervous about posting. I thought people might think I was dippy. Now I just shrug my shoulders and say "more power to the dips!"
I gotta say, I love this site and am glad I gathered my courage and began posting :)

Oh, I did not lurk for very long. It is difficult not to be drawn into a conversation around here.
It is curious though, that we have so many members who, for whatever reason, choose to not stick their heads out occasionally and say hello.
Hello all you lurkers out there. Come on in, the waters fine.

When I first came on board you didn't have to be a member to view the pics, but i registered quickly so I could shout my encouragement to the lovely ladies...of course, then there were very few people here to embarrass yourself in front of...

I was quite the lurker for a few weeks before I started posting. :)
Right away ... when I first joined I didn't really know there was a "guest" option ... but at the time we could post comments directly to a story, I wanted to state my appreciation of some of the stories right away! :)
I signed up and jumped right in with both feet. I didn't see the point in lurking when I could be playing and commenting. :)
I found the place when looking for stories, and soon found out there were pictures of REAL people here. So I registered and it was not long before I was letting my appreciation for the beautiful pics be known.

I had to get a feel for the place for a while before feeling comfortable commenting/posting. Same with chat...the first time or two I went there I just watched what was going on. Now the others there sometimes take away my keyboard. :D

Didn't post a great deal at first. A bit intimidated by how close some of the then "Ol' Timers" seemed to be. Gradually, I felt more comfortable, and the more I posted, the more comfortable I felt. Quite a while before I would share pictures, though.

I started posting right away, but I'll admit that I don't post much...and it seems like I'm posting less. There's a lot of good threads here that I don't feel like I can add anything too, it's either been said, or I realize that as a single, it'd just be depressing.

I used to read the stories here long before I even knew what a forum was, and I remember quite clearly the first time I dared to click the button that took me to the forum page - this remains the only forum I've ever posted on and the only chat room I've ever been in!
I wanted to post, so I signed up in order to do it...I've never been much good at keeping my mouth shut!

Once I found this site I immediatelly signed up and was posting; but then when I thought this site was going to close down (now that seems an eon ago) I disappeared. Then on a whim I checked and still found the site alive and thriving--wrote a few stories and met some wonderful people. Then Uncle Sam took me away for a stint in the great kitty box of Irqac...now I'am back. Never so far that my travels have taken me, that I don't return here :)

When I found this place many moons ago I signed up almost at once. I can't remember now the exact reasons but regardless I'm here now for both the pics and the conversations.

I lurked for quite a while before my first post. Even now, having been away for a while, I find myself lurking. Thanks for the question, though. I'm back on the boards at least! :)

My pleasure. I have in the past had pms from people who have read something I posted, but do not post on the public boards. I am on some on sites that have pics and chat. Most of them tend to be more pics less chat. Not fun chat anyhow. Some of it is very rude. The 'your pics suck' sort of remarks. I would think that would make one weary of posting on those or other adult sites. I also think there are a lot more females here on Pixies then I have seen on other pic & post sites.

I would agree with you about this site being quite 'female friendly' and I think that has a lot to with the fact that our 'chief mod' (if I can call her that) is female, and the fact that she (and other female mods of course) is an active poster who gives the site a kind of feminine touch.

That is so. On a lot of sites I think they just have this sort of thing as an add on. They are not doing any mod stuff for them and care nay much what goes on. As I have pointed out some time ago I take pics and I am on a few pro/am model sites. Some of the things that go on those things would make a marine blush.

I registered when I posted to a story challenge. That was my first post. Started chatting, was a bit abrasive in my couple first posts but I settled in quickly. Did not post any pics til I got to 1000 posts and it took me quite awhile to get those. The same lovely people who I wanted to talk to then, are still here now and I have met so many other interesting, intelligent, and sexy people over the years.

In our earliest days, we didn't have a mod, & there would be occassional rude replies to posts...we sort of policed ourselves, reporting them to Kim (the 1st owner of the site, for those who don't remember), who was very good about deleting rude posts...& sometimes the people that made them ;)

I sure agree with you, Loulabelle. Lilith, Sharni and fzzy are absolutely the best! Pixies wouldn't be the same without them.

I started posting straight away, I was reading erotic stories and wondered what the forum was about so I clicked on it and there was a post from Irish about circumcision.
I jumped in and put my firmly held views. It was however a debate that never deteriorated into bad territory. It is generally the case that serious issues can be canvassed and others respect your views even if they do not agree with them.
The place is what it is because we have great mods and the membership is made up of very good people

I for one have definitely missed you!!!!!!! We had some great times in chat didn't we? :D I'm so glad you're back! :)
It took me about a day. But when I seen how friendly people were here I wasn't so scared then. You guys are like family to me now!

I signed up on Christmas Eve of 2001 after browsing Pixie's for a few weeks. I lurked for about 2 1/2 years until I started posting recently. Got in the swing of things with the Smut Games (which I think are a lot of fun). I'm getting a lot braver now. People are so nice here and the feedback is almost never negative, so it encouraged me to stop being a lurker and start being a poster.
