After making love to my husband, I usually get sick for 2 days. I had forgotten all about this, as it has been 7 months since we last made love. He's on medications, and I was wondering if that would be in his "fluid" released into me? I'm fine otherwise. Any ideas or suggestions appreciated, as this would be a real bummer for both of us. Thanks.

Doubt if it is anything to do with the medications that he is on being "passed" on to you. Some women have been reported to be allergic to their husbands semen, however. (Wonder if the situation is remedied by his wearing a condom?) This is one for you to take up with your doctor. No need for either of you to suffer needlessly and the doc might have a quick fix or at least some insight. Good luck!

likewise i don't think it's in any of his medications, and there is a good chance you could be allergic, does it burn up inside after he ejaculates? cause then you are definately allgergic and it may go away on it's own after time, but if you go to the doc there might be ways to speed the process along

What do you mean "get sick". I have endometriosis and before some surgeries, sex hurt so terribly that I avoided it as much as possible. After a surgery a year ago, I think the doctor left my "on" switch on.... no problems since. Good luck to you.

No burning sensation, but huge headache for two days with stomach and intestinal upset. Sharp abdominal pains and feels like someone kicked me in the back. It's weird. Goes away on the third day. I do have a doc appt. But, I thought I'd ask the folks here if they'd had any similar experiences. Lord, that would be too much. After all we've been through, to be allergic to him?! I hope not.

Process of elimination would be........did you have these symptons before he was on these medications or did this coincide with when he started a particular medication? It can't be ruled out that you are absorbing some of his medication[s] through his ejaculate and therefore having an allergic reaction to them. It could be a combination of the meds and maybe something you are taking or just a combo of what he is taking and the condition of it when it is released into you. It could just be a case of nerves (beings that your lovemaking is so few and far between now). Only a doctor can tell for sure!

Good luck hun....and please keep us informed!

Hmmm...my wife usually gets the headaches and upset stomache instead of making love, not afterwards!

Ok, here's my idea. Try having him wear a condom. If you still get the symptoms, then you can rule out a semenal allergy or a reaction to any medication that could be being passed along to you in his fluid. Perhaps your orgasm is triggering some chemical/hormonal release that makes you feel like crap?

A few years back my wife suffered from endometriosis and had the same problem as Imag. I used to tell everyone that we were in to S&M, she would sleep and I would masturbate. But she had the operation and all was much better.

In the interest of science I will volunteer to come over and make love to you. If you don't get sick then you'll know your allergic.

WI...Thank you for the suggestion. We'll give the condom a shot. I've an appointment with the doc in a couple of weeks.

HF...Thank you for your research "offer". Although I must decline at this time, it is tempting.

I've jotted some notes down for the doc. Sorry it took so long to reply. Had a nasty bout with the flu.
