How many of you at some point in time, even if you don't drink that often just say " fuck it , I am going to get drunk just because I feel like it", or because it really tastes good tonight, or because you want to stop thinking about what you are thinking about at that point in time?

Had too much to drink once 30-some years ago when I was too polite to tell the host not to pour me any more daquiris. Got drunk voluntarily only once in my life, and that was last fall when I lost the love of my life. Otherwise, I haven't had the desire to drink at all.

On occasion, yes, but since two glasses of wine has me pretty much under the table, I'd hardly call myself a heavy drinker! LOL

I'm usually called on to be the designated drunk......er.....um......I mean designated driver (damn it, I always get those two mixed up!)..........and so I haven't been "fuck it" drunk in quite some time!

Now........"oopsy drunk".....that's a whole other kettle of fish (oh shit.....now Casper's gonna think I took his trout bucket!). Then there is "shit faced oopsy drunk"............did that on a sunset champagne cruise in Key West in '98'. Was fine on the ship.....got back to the dock and stepped on land and...............OOPSY!

But......for the most part........I think I'm through with "fuck it" drinking!

Can I have fries with that?

I really have to decide to do this, I am the exact opposite of Lou, I can drink 15-20 beers and only have the faint feeling of a buzz, so if I want to get a good drunk on...gotta hit the tequila..

Absolutely! My wife and I love to hang out and drink Kettle One Martini's and get completely fucked up. Since we are responsible all day, every day ( kids, work etc ) it's a nice release to hang out on the porch with your best friend and enjoy a few cocktails and a lot of laughs.

SOmetimes I'm having such a good evening I lost track of the number of drinks I've had...but I never start out to get drunk. I hate the swoopy feeling and the room spinning.

I've never even tasted alcohol .... saw how much harm it can do while growing up ... one of my parents - alcoholic - so I've never had the desire to even taste the stuff! My drug of choice is probably more likely chocolate and peanutbutter combo! :)

I have never gotten drunk...But my 21st birthday will be here soon enough...Birthday wishes are my hubby and friend get together and get our drink on and see where it goes... :D

I'm with Fussy. Years ago, I'd gather with friends with the sole intention of getting fucked up but needless to say, would end up regretting it for a variety of reasons.

But with kids, ya can't do that kind of stuff. So, with the wife in agreement, after a drink we'll take it from there.

I tend to only have enough to drink where I'd be buzzed or drunk when alone, privately with someone. I can't say I've ever had enough to drink to make myself sick, or have had a hangover (knock on wood).
I don't generally drink publicly, as I'm usually the designated driver.

I've been known to get a little silly, and a bit sexual - it's no secret that one night while I was engaged, my then fiancee and I got VERY drunk, stripped, and took pics of each other naked lying on her bed.

They're long since destroyed, of course.

Hasn't happened very often, but a couple of times I've had the precise "fuck it, pass the booze" moment you describe.

Course, my alcohol tolerance is rediculously low. And I forget I intended to get drunk well before I get really toasted. Lucky me.

Actually, Bud, -- as for me, it "just tastes good" every night (well more than not) but very high tolerance to it myself. As for the lady, well,she rarely drinks, for any reason. Doesn't really care for it I guess. But when you really stop to think of it, I probobly get more drunk when trying to get off something bad that happen, or a crappy mood. can honestly say -- have been "shit face drunk" more times than I care to admit;)

been there done that, but that was 25 yrs ago,, stopped doing that when one morning woke up in my truck and didnt know where the hell I was, it took about 2hrs to figure out I was way out in the middle of a state forest about 30 miles from any town, down a logging road,, must of taken a wrong turn and said fuck and slept there,, ever since then no drinking here,, well maybe I might have had 6 beers in the last 25yrs

You know Cobalt, I have done that way too many times...the last part especially. I can't say I regret all if it, cause some of those times I was quite fond of.

Now I guess I prefer to do that while in my own home. I know my limits and when out try to stick to them...but at home or somewhere you don't have to leave...its nice to know that you can go past the limits if you want to.

And its so much better to party with friends. ;)
