View Full Version : Really a virgin?
Listening to the radio again, a female caller says to the show host that she is a 26 year old virgin.
He comments that might explain why she's only had 2 boyfriends in her life.
Well, she says, I give them anal and oral, but I want to be a virgin on my wedding night.
I tell ya, if I meet this girl and she tells me she has let 50 guys do her in the ass... Hey, can I be #51?! :p ;)
But if she tells me she's a virgin and on our wedding night I suggest anal and find out that roads been well paved... I'd be pissed! Tell me you've never had straight intercourse, but I think it's lying to do oral and anal and say you're a virgin.
Anyone agree with that? Anyone disagree?

Wasn't this discussed in Clerks? No not really, just the girl had oral in another "category."
Sex is sex.
In my book, oral and anal count.
And I'm in no way shape or form a virgin (well, with heterosexual sex anyway. No plans or desire to do it any other way, although I'm still open to the hypothetical idea of threesomes, groups, etc. Like THAT would ever happen :P ).
So yeah, I'd call her a liar too, Aqua.

"No..."

Aqua,
I totally agree! I had a friend in highschool who did oral and anal and still thought she was virgin because she never had vaginal. MAYBE I could buy oral.... But anal? Nope don't think so. She used to get mad when we told her she was kidding herself...but then again this is the same girl who thought she peed out of her vagina. (yes folks...16 years old and thought she peed from her vagina) I had to get out the good ole encyclopedia and prove to her that there was more to her anatomy than she thought...but there I go getting off the subject...sorry...

It is one of the superstitions of the human mind to have imagined that virginity could be a virtue." (Voltaire, 1694-1778)
It's when you read about an anally experienced virgin that you realise how stupid the whole idea is. Virgin = pure, and non-vergin = what? Impure? Dirty? Sinful? Never get to heaven? All those lovely Pixie ladies who enjoyed themselves before marriage are somehow devalued? Give me a break!
It does bother me that a woman should should say 'I love you completely, I'm all yours, you can do what you like with me, poke your tongue into me until it comes out of my ear. But before I let your cock into me, you're going to have to sign here.......'
I think that the first time she's kissed a male and got excitement as well as comfort, she's on the slippery slope and physical virginity is not even a speed bump.

I will try and dig it up...but I saw a website formed by a mother promoting high school girls to have anal sex to stay a virgin and to avoid pregancy.

i find it strange that she would have anal sex and not straight sex.
i had an ex girlfriend who would fuck, suck , rim, role play, exhibitism, talk dirty, flash and every thing you can imagine and was extremely erotic, she is the one who opened me up sexually.
she however would never have anal sex ,only a finger , as she insisted that that was too intimate and it was something only her husband would have the privilidge of. and even though we were planning to be married still no.

My view is that if you've penetrated/been penetrated anywhere, virginity is gone.

Personally, I'm not sure I would count having oral sex as losing your virginity. I would regard it as an 'extreme' kind of heavy petting (God don't you just HATE that term?!) and I suppose technically you can still be a virgin and have anal although I think any woman who refuses vaginal sex, to keep their virginity intact, is somewhat misguided.
As Ericthered said, if they believe that being a vaginal virgin is some sort of virtue, then they are using anal as a kind of religious/moral 'loophole' and I'm sure that if there is a God (?) s/he/it would not be convinced.
I suppose for me, the point is, why the hell hold on to any kind of virginity, just for the sake of it? To me that's as bad as losing it just for the sake of it. It sounds to me, like this girl is using her virginity as some kind of mental security blanket which serves to prevent her from feeling like she really is promiscuous, while allowing herself to have sexual fun with as many different guys as she likes. it seems to me, this girl's so hung up on the technicalities that she's missing the bigger picture.

Mental virginity vs. physical virginity??? Is there such a thing?
I think that the woman in question is a confused soul. Being a virgin, by my definition, is one who has never taken part in ANY type of sexual activity, perhaps other than kissing or like Lou said "heavy petting"
My first thought was, when I read what Aqua wrote, was this..................
"Really........... how stupid!"

Has anyone asked Bill Clinton what his definition of virgin is. I think we need an authoritative opinion on this and he seems to head up this department ... er ... at least he has some intern ... interim opinions on it. Dang, there's that ambiguous "it" word again. :D

Remember that the original (and still technically correct) definition of "virgin" is *not* someone who has never had sex, but rather, someone who has never been married.
True it has come to mean someone who has never had sex, but well, different people have different ideas of what constitutes 'sex', so instead of saying "you're wrong", when confronted by someone who claims s/he has never had sex, then ask "what do *you* mean by sex"?

I agree with Aqua but as Dicksbro said,Bill Clinton disagrees with
us.To ME,oral sex is much more intimate than vaginal sex! Irish
P.S.Different strokes,for different folks!
Sorry to get off subject, and I know you will jab Clinton at any time for any reason Irish, but Clinton asked the judge to define sexual relations and based on what the judge gave as a definition is how he answered. Not saying that it made it ok, just saying that Clinton did not define what constitutes 'sexual relations'. And as a lawyer you know he's going to use any loophole possible, just like any other lawyer OR politician.

why people have to keep their virgin until marry? why ? i don't get it.
most of us now marry at a very mature age, is not like we are going to marry at 18 . most of us now marry after 25.
we all human, we all have feeling, wh can't i have sex when I have a feeling that I need sex. WHen people reach a certain age, the body build and develop pretty good, then it is automatic you can feel that you need that type of initimate. I think now kids grow up and develop quicker than my time. That doesn't mean I presure my kids to have sex before they turn 18. Just go with the flow. as long as you learn how to protect from HIV/AID or pregnancy. that is fine for me.
Chinese pussy like straight to the point and honest. Don't like to be a liar bitch. That is what I am.
in my religon as budism, I haven't hear that I couldn't have sex before marry or have sex more than one guys/
I don't like the idea of being virgin until marry. "that sound so stupid" to me
please tell Chinese pussy if Chinesepussy said was wrong.

Merriam-Webster says:
Virgin (1)
1,a) An unmarried woman devoted to a religion.
2,a) An absolute chaste young woman. b) an unmarried girl or woman
3) Virgin Mary
4) A person who has not had sexual intercourse
5) A female animal that has never copulated
Virgin (2)
Free of impurity or stain. Unsullied. Chaste. Characteristics of or befitting a virgin. Modest. Fresh. Unspoiled. Being used or worked for the first time. Initial first. Pristine. Not altered by human activity.
Someone get this chick on the phone........she needs a good talking to! LOL! I think those who have anal and oral and whatever beside vaginal are just fooling themselves into thinking they are "good girls". So fuckin what if they still have a hymen? And lot's of "virgins" will tell you that they may not have their hymen anymore because of tampon or vibrator use....but that they are still a virgin because they have never been screwed! Pfffffft! Can you say ostrich?

just hope she was "playing" safe!
Scarey to think that just because it wasn't vaginal sex that it "don't count"
I hope I have managed to pass on safety aspect of sex to my kids (well, the 14yr old atleast)

Speaking of kids..... we have pretty open communication with ours... especially the oldest....
Was kinda curious about what the girls in his generation thought about this and asked him. He said that he knew of a few that practiced in anal sex just so they would remain "virgins" He said the he didn't know who was kidding who. Most of the guys didn't really care, and in fact the "anal girls" seemed to get more action than the others. No worries about pregnancy was the main topic of this, and he said that he didn't think that was a good thing cause anything dripping could enter the taboo area.....
In his opinion (he is 20 now), thos girls are deluding themselves........ and a lot of guys just take advantage of that.

CelticAngel, you're so right!
These girls don't seem in the least bit worried that anal sex (not just gay, but heterosexual anal sex too) is one of the easiest ways to pass on viruses such as HIV.
Hell, I've always been less worried about pregnancy (I can control that myself with oral contraceptives) than I am about STDs. Isn't that message getting across?
Cheyanne
05-16-2003, 08:40 AM
Lou - I don't think it is..... and that is worrisome. Many teens, by nature go through the stage that they are immortal... and don't think beyond the pregnancy issue. I find myself totally amazed at this because they (girls) don't see the ramifications of what they are doing.......... and the boys are seemingly taking advantage of the situation. Now, don't take me wrong, I am not male bashing, because the boys can be effected as well as the girls can regarding STDs, but I am concerned for the girls, as emotionally, they are putting themselves in situations that they shouldn't be putting themselves.......... and some boys are using that to their advantage.
Sometimes, I wonder about who talked who into practicing anal sex and saying that by doing so is o.k.

I have to say that anal sex is NOT something I was even thinking about when I first became sexually active.
I certainly viewed it as 'the wrong hole' if my partner wittingly or unwittingly (?) ventured there, rather than it being an 'alternative hole'. As I've said a hundred times before here though, I'm still virtually unexplored in that area....it's definitely something I've always thought of as something to graduate to, not something to start with!

A sidebar about anal sex asa contraceptive. Having your man deposit his load only an ich or two away from your anus is not clever. The little buggers can swim anywhere that's wet and warm.
A few years back there was a case in the UK House of Lords with a man claiming a noble title. The current incumbent resisted saying that the claimant's mother had obtained a divorce because she was still a virgin after a couple of years of marriage so the child that she was pregnant with at the time could not have been legitimate.
The whole case, heard by the Lords in their gowns and wigs revolved around whether the virgin wife could have become pregnant when the husband indulged in 'Hunnish practices' (I didn't know the Huns were specialists in the art of anal sex).
Their Lordships decided that Hunnish practices would win the day and that you can become pregnant.
Oh, and if you doubt that the great and good in English society would enjoy a little of the other, try this view from the top.
"It is impossible to obtain a conviction for sodomy from an English jury. Half of them don't believe that it can physically be done, and the other half are doing it." Winston Churchill

Funny thing Lou... and I am NOT joking here, but from a young age, I was 'unaware' of what a vagina was and thought the anus was for sex. Could certainly explain some things about my obsession with anal. I didn't realize that the vagina was for sex until I was about 11 or 12 years old.

to some point agreed, it is up to her and if the guy accepts that then it is ok. However, as mentioned before i have to say that once 'penetrated' anally or orally, virginity is lost. so i don't see the point of having only anal sex before marriage just to stay techincally a virgin.
